Link: Skirt Tutorial

I'm hoping that I'll have time to make one of these cute and oh so trendy skirts soon.  I've seen scalloping popping up all over in shops and have even seen other tutorials to diy.  If you're the fancy-shorts type, this technique could be really cute for the hem!  It would also be really nice to just apply the hem technique to a pencil skirt pattern, that way the bunching action at the top wouldn't be an issue.

I have many great aspirations to sew a few dresses and skirts for a work trip I'm taking in a month and a half.  I want something that can go from working in the day to being dressed up enough for dinner events in the PM.  I would like to make a couple of them in plain-old broadcloth or something.  Mostly I pick prints for my clothing projects and then they can be really difficult to incorporate into outfits!

Also, I promise that I will post an original project soon.  I have only a week to finish my oil painting...and let's just say that the deadline is quickly approaching!  I already have a back-up painting started just in case I don't finish in time (which is likely!).
